Our recommendations

Tulum - Visit the nearby City of Tulum’s lively downtown area, The Pueblo. The street is busy day and night with authentic Mexican restaurants, bars, and nightlife. (only drink bottled water - no tap water!)

Adventure Excursions - ATV, zipline, or horseback ride through the jungle, or go scuba diving, snorkeling, fishing, or boating on the ocean

Akumal Beach - nearby public beach known for snorkeling and swimming with with turtles.

Tulum Archeological Zone - If you're not already joining us on the April 6th excursion, this one is really close to our resort and is the location of some of the best-preserved Mayan ruins with a view of the ocean!

Coba Archeological Zone - If you're not already joining us on the April 6th excursion, this one is still fairly close, but not as close as Tulum. An ancient Mayan city in the jungle with perfectly preserved ruins and one of the tallest pyramids in Mexico.

Chichen Itza - This majestic pyramid-shaped temple is one of the Seven Wonders of the New World, but it is not very close and will require a full day trip.

Cenotes - We will be visiting a cenote park on the April 6th group excursion, but there are also lots of other cenotes throughout the Yucatan Peninsula. Cenotes are natural pits or sinkholes formed when limestone bedrock collapses and expose groundwater. The ancient Maya believed they were sacred portals to the underworld. Tourists love them for their uniquely beautiful crystal clear pools.

Cozumel - Island renowned for natural beauty and marine life. Great snorkeling and diving, as it is home to the second-largest coral reef in the world.

Isla Mujeres - Another island for natural beauty and wildlife encounters. Location of underwater museum, where you can snorkel or dive to check out underwater sculptures.

Xcaret Parks - A series of amusement parks, including the original Xcaret Park (natural and cultural attractions - shows, wildlife encounters, and swimming in underground rivers), Xplor (adventure park - zipline, amphibious vehicles, waterslides, and raft and swim through underground rivers), and Xel-ha (natural water park with snorkeling in a cove, lazy river through mangroves, mini zipline into water, water slides, cliff jumping, and located closest to our resort).
