Sveadal has multiple creeks, a swimming pool, horseshoe pits, and more. Further up Croy Road is Uvas Canyon County Park, with 6 miles of hiking trails. The waterfalls will likely be dry in September, but it's still a great place to run around and explore under the shade of madrones and redwoods.
Where to begin... the California Academy of Sciences and the Exploratorium are two of the museums that made Juli go into the whole museum business. If art is your scene, there are loads of art museums, galleries, and murals dotted all over the city. You can even visit the comic book lounge where Ryan and Juli started their relationship. The great thing about San Francisco's hills (other than the stunning views) is that they help you work off one meal in preparation for the next. Ryan and Juli used to catch concerts in Golden Gate Park, so check if there are any free events going on while you're in town. If you need any recommendations, just ask Ryan and/or Juli and we'll give you more leads than you'll know what to do with.
If San Francisco's not your scene, head on over to Santa Cruz for a day at the beach or up in the redwoods. Take a microbrewery tour, go to a spa, get silly at the boardwalk... just have fun! Bonus points if you make it to The Buttery.
Gilroy is not only the garlic capital of the world, it's also home to a ton of outlets. So if you need to stock up on, well, anything, head over to the premium outlets.
There are also lots of wineries and golf courses in the area that you can explore.
