Our Wedding

Our story starts long before our first date even if we didn’t know it at the time.We’ve known of each other since high school. We went to the same games, and saw each other at a few parties. But life had its own timing, and our paths didn’t truly cross until years later.In 2019, everything changed with a simple Instagram DM from Joel thank you, Instagram!What started as a message quickly turned into long conversations, laughs, and a growing connection. Just a few weeks later, we went on our first official date for ice cream. Something about that night just felt right. It felt easy, exciting, and like we had known each other much longer than we had.COVID hit not long after, and like many during that time, we found ourselves in a bubble. But for us, it only brought us closer. We were attached at the hip from the beginning binge-watching movies, trying new recipes, making memories out of quiet days and dipping our toes into what started our travel addiction, yes even with the world shut down! That time solidified something special between us.Since then, we’ve had the chance to grow and build a life together that we’re truly proud of. We have hit huge milestones both individually and as a couple.Kailea graduated college,Joel has received multiple awards alongside his Mom for their extremely successful Farmers Insurance agency, we purchased multiple homes, and we’ve been fortunate enough to travel to so many of our dream destinations. From tropical beaches to big cities to quiet getaways, our passports and hearts are full.We’ve also built a little family of our own with our three perfect dogs, Bali, Mazi, and Stormi!On October 22, 2024, Joel proposed in the most beautiful way, on a sandy beach in Hawaii. It was the most thoughtful moment that reflected everything our relationship stands for: love, intention, and a little bit of travel.If you know us, you know we balance each other perfectly. Kailea brings the energy, the ideas, and yes always the chaos. Joel is the calm in the storm, always ready to go along for the ride, no matter how spontaneous, wild, or unexpected the adventure may be.So when Kailea suggested a snowy winter wedding in the mountains of Colorado, Joel was of course on board even if it sounded a little bit crazy!And now, here we are planning the celebration of a lifetime in a place that feels like something out of a dream.We’re beyond excited to have all of our favorite people in one place, to celebrate a love that’s grown through seasons of life, and to begin this next chapter surrounded by the ones who have supported us along the way.Here’s to a lifetime of memories, adventures, and love.We can’t wait to share this special moment with you.See you at the alter,XO Kailea + Joel

Kinley :If you know Kailea, it's guaranteed that you know Kinley. Kailea's true other half. A little wild (in the best way), endlessly loyal, and has been Kailea's backbone for over a decade now. She’s been by Kailea’s side through literally every single high and low from the loudest laughs to the hardest days, and everything in between. She’s seen every version of Kailea and loved her through them all. There’s no one who knows her heart better, and no one more deserving of a front row seat on the most important day of our life. From the first ice cream date, to  the “yes" moment in Hawaii and now, standing beside her on the biggest day of her life.
With the most pure heart, the best stories, and a champagne toast always ready, this wedding wouldn’t be the same without her.

McKinley Wilson

Logan: Joels best friend and Kailea’s partner in crime, and one of the most loyal people you'll ever meet. Whether it’s a spontaneous trip, a last minute idea, or a moment that needs backup, you know Logan will be there.

He’s been by Joel’s side through thick and thin, and his friendship has been a constant through all of life’s curveballs and celebrations. He’s the guy who shows up, keeps everyone laughing, and somehow manages to keep things chill and chaotic at the same time.
We’re so lucky to have him standing with us  there’s truly no one better to help lead the party.

Logan Reding

Danelle: Some bonds go beyond friendship  and for Kailea,  she is just that. Her older sister figure, her other half, her voice of reason, and her forever hype woman.
She’s been there through every chapter  guiding, supporting, laughing, and sometimes crying right alongside Kailea. Whether it’s big life milestones or everyday chaos, she’s the person Kailea has always turned to.

She’s more than just part of the wedding party, she’s part of the heart behind it all.

Danelle Torrez

Santos: Joel’s best friend since high school, he has been around for everything from late-night hangouts to major life milestones. He’s not just part of Joel’s story, he’s been there since the very beginning of Kailea and Joel’s story, too.

He’s shared in countless memories, supported us through every chapter, and according to Mazi is easily the favorite human of the whole wedding party. 🐾

There’s no one more fitting to stand beside us as we say "I do" and really get the party on the dance floor.

Santos Elizondo

Jaeda:  What started as a sweet friendship when she was still just a young girl and Kailea was in her 20s quickly grew into one of the most important relationships in Kailea's life.
Over the years, they have created so many unforgettable memories  from road trips and beach getaways to spontaneous adventures and late night talks that lasted until morning. No matter where they all are, Jaeda brings a calm, grounding energy that everyone around her feels… but she also knows exactly how to have the most fun and be the life of the party.
She’s always felt like Kailea's mini me, the little sister to both Joel and Kailea in every way that matters, and someone who’s been there for both the biggest moments and the quiet ones in between. Having her stand beside us on our wedding day is more than special it’s full circle.

Jaeda Abeyta

Jorgie: Joel’s cousin but more like a brother, a best friend, and a constant in both of our lives. Jorgie is the kind of person everyone needs fiercely loyal,  always fun, and full of determination in everything he does.
To know Jorgie is truly to love him. He’s the one bringing the energy, hyping everyone up, and making sure no one leaves the party without a good story. But beyond the fun and laughter, he’s also the first one to show up, the first to check in, and the kind of friend who listens without judgment and loves without limits.
He’s been there through all the highs, all the lows, and every random adventure in between. There’s no version of this day  or our story  that doesn’t include him. He’s family, through and through, and we’re so lucky to have him standing with us as we start this next chapter.

Coco: Over 10 years Corrie has been one of Kailea’s oldest and most cherished friends a true constant in a world that’s always changing. No matter what life throws her way, she always shows up. Whether it’s a quiet moment when Kailea needs support or a big celebration worth partying for, she’s there with an open heart.
She loves hard and fiercely  the kind of friend who checks in just when you need it most, often before you even realize it yourself. Her presence is steady and comforting, a reminder that Kailea is never alone.
More than that, she’s been a protector through tough times, a guide when life feels uncertain, and one of the biggest fans of every success and joy Joel+ Kailea have had. Always down for an adventure, she brings laughter, light, and a fearless spirit that makes every moment together unforgettable.

Isaac: From the days of running around outside as kids in California to standing proudly by Joel’s side at the wedding, he has been a staple part of Joel’s life and journey. Having him not only in our lives but also standing beside us on this special day feels incredibly special. Don’t let his age fool you, he’s wise beyond his years, thoughtful, and grounded in a way that surprises everyone who meets him. With a heart bigger than most adults and a mind filled with every football stat imaginable, he somehow balances being the sweetest guy in the room with being an absolute class clown, and beast on the football field. Truly a badass in cleats.

Whether he’s giving the best hugs, making us laugh with his quick wit, or rattling off  NFL facts like a pro, he brings a warmth and joy that’s impossible to miss. He may be the “baby” of the family, but the love and pride we feel for him is enormous.

Leslie: Like an aunt to Joel but truthfully, she’s become a guiding light in both of our lives. She is one of the strongest, most steady and soulful people we know. Her calm presence has a way of making even the hardest days feel lighter, and her heart is filled with wisdom, grace, and love.
She’s the person who always shows up no matter the time, place, or circumstance. She never judges, always listens, and makes everyone around her feel seen, heard, and truly cared for. Her encouragement to walk in faith, stay grounded, and trust in the bigger picture has helped carry us through so many seasons.

Radix: our nephew the most adorable, wild-hearted, hilarious little guy you’ll ever meet. At just 4 years old, he’s already got a personality way bigger than he is.
He’s sweet, adventurous, and just the right amount of crazy  the kind of kid who keeps us laughing, keeps us on our toes, and brings so much light to our lives. Whether he’s dancing, exploring, or telling stories that don’t totally make sense (but make us smile anyway), he’s truly the heart of every room he’s in.We’re so lucky to have him be part of this day  and if we’re being honest, he might just steal the whole show.

Radix Torrez

Orie: She may not be your typical flower girl, but she was never going to have a typical role in this wedding  because to know Orie is to know she's anything but ordinary.
She is someone who’s walked beside us through every high, every low, and every messy, magical moment in between. The friend who always calls, always checks in, and always somehow knows just when she’s needed  without ever having to be asked. She listens with her whole heart, loves without condition, and shows up every single time with loyalty, grace, and kindness that runs deep.
She’s been a protector, a safe space, and one of the most consistent, grounding presences in Kailea's life, she’s helped carry Kailea through more than she knows.
