The town’s name means “Good View” in Spanish, describing its scenic location in the Upper Arkansas Valley. The town is situated at an elevation of 7,965 feet.

Option 1: Fly into Denver International Airport (DIA) & drive to Buena Vista:

• 2 hours and 40 minute drive from Airport

• 2 hours and 15 minute drive from Denver city

There are two main routes from Denver to Buena Vista: I-70 and Highway 285. We recommend entering "Buena Vista" into your map app to find the fastest route based on current traffic conditions. Our personal favorite is Highway 285, as it offers stunning scenery along the way.

Option 2: Fly into Colorado Springs Airport (COS) & drive to Buena Vista:

• 2 hours

Option 3: Take a bus from Denver Union Station to Buena Vista via Bustang ($21.00)

• Crested Butte -- Denver (Southbound)

• Leaves Union Station at 1:50pm

• Arrives Buena Vista (3rd Stop) at 4:40pm
