Katey and Ryan met the old fashioned way...at a country bar in downtown Toronto on June 7th 2015. While Katey was dancing with her girlfriends she spotted Ryan from across the bar prompting him to make his way over and ask for a dance. After asking 3 times and using the lame excuse of "having a boyfriend" (she had no boyfriend), Ryan and Katey had their first ever dance to Taylor Swift's "Shake it Off." After dancing for a number of songs and finding out Katey played hockey on the women's team at U of T, Ryan just HAD to have her number. The two had their first date the following week and the rest is history.

Ryan proposed to Katey on their 6 year anniversary while on a hike at the Elora Gorge located just 10 minutes away from where they bought their home in Fergus. Ryan knew Katey had no idea a proposal was coming when she started wandering off exploring the Gorge as he was getting ready to propose.

There is no better way to step into a new chapter than to celebrate with a room full of the people they love most.
