Katey and Ryan met the old fashioned way...at a country bar in downtown Toronto on June 7th 2015. While Katey was dancing with her girlfriends she spotted Ryan from across the bar prompting him to make his way over and ask for a dance. After asking 3 times and using the lame excuse of "having a boyfriend" (she had no boyfriend), Ryan and Katey had their first ever dance to Taylor Swift's "Shake it Off." After dancing for a number of songs and finding out Katey played hockey on the women's team at U of T, Ryan just HAD to have her number. The two had their first date the following week and the rest is history. Ryan proposed to Katey on their 6 year anniversary while on a hike at the Elora Gorge located just 10 minutes away from where they bought their home in Fergus. Ryan knew Katey had no idea a proposal was coming when she started wandering off exploring the Gorge as he was getting ready to propose. There is no better way to step into a new chapter than to celebrate with a room full of the people they love most.

When you call to book your hotel room, let them know you are booking for the "Farnsworth Wedding" and they will give you a room for the rate we have secured. Check in is at 4:00pm and cannot be adjusted and because of this we recommend you stay for two nights to make sure you're able to arrive at the ceremony and meet the shuttle bus on time. For any questions please call the hotel. Shuttle information to come at a later date.

The Inn of Waterloo

Hotel MUST be booked by September 22 2022. 

We have a shuttle service that will be bringing guests between the hotel and wedding venue. The shuttle will make 2 trips before the ceremony and 3 trips after the wedding has concluded. The pick-up location is outside the front of the hotel. Before Ceremony to Venue2:30pm3:00pm After Wedding to Hotel:11:30pm12:30am1:30am If you wish to go between the hotel and wedding venue outside the shuttle times, you may order a taxi or Uber.
