Strathmere has three venue spaces, which one will your wedding be at?
Our wedding will be hosted at the Garden House on Sthrathmere’s property.
Is there a Dress Code?
Our dress code for our wedding is Summer Cocktail, however please wear what you are comfortable in. We do ask that you refrain from wearing colours typically reserved for the bride such as white, ivory, or cream.
Can I bring my Kids?
We love your kiddos, however, we have extended invitations only to the adults. We hope you understand and use this evening as an opportunity to enjoy a romantic night out with your significant other!
Can I bring a plus one?
Unless indicated on your invitation, please do not bring a plus one. If you are unsure, please don’t hesitate to contact the bride and groom. We appreciate your understanding and can't wait to celebrate with you!
Will there be an open bar?
Yes, the drinks are on us that night! Please note that outside alcohol is not permitted onto the site. Our venue is fully licensed by the LLBO.
What time do I need to arrive?
Our ceremony starts at 4:00pm, however we do suggest that you arrive 15-30 minutes before to get a good seat! Please note that if you do arrive late between the times of 4:30-5:00pm the staff at Strathmere will not let you through in order to protect the other weddings occurring on the property.
Will transportation be provided?
We are not providing a shuttle to and from the venue, however our venue is serviced by both taxi and Uber. Please see travel page for more information.
Is there parking?
Yes, and it is free! Please note that spots may be limited as another wedding may be taking place at one of the other wedding site locations.
Will your wedding be outside?
Our Ceremony will be held outside, please dress appropriately for the weather.
Can I take pictures during the Wedding?
During our ceremony we ask that you please keep your phones on silent and away to be present with us as we share the special moment in our lives. We have an amazing photographer and will be more than happy to share ceremony photos with you! After the Ceremony, please feel free to have your phones out and take pictures, we’d love to see them after the wedding!!
When do I need to RSVP by?
Please RSVP through our wedding website by July 20th, 2024. We can't wait to see you there!
What if I didn't RSVP?
To help us with our planning, we kindly ask that you RSVP by July 20th, 2024. If we don't receive your RSVP by the date specified, we can't make any exceptions and will have to mark you as "no". We need to provide the venue with a total guest count in a timely manner, and we don't want to risk any hiccups in the planning process. We hope you can understand!
Where can I find Overnight Accommodations?
We have a block of rooms reserved at the Hampton Inn & Suites Ottawa West. Ottawa has many other great overnight options as well if you wish to stay somewhere else. Please check out the travel page for more information on overnight accommodations.
