If you have the time, we highly recommend The Cliff Walk! It is a 3.5 mile public access walk around the back of Salve Regina and the mansions, with scenic water views. We recommend parking at Easton’s (First) Beach and entering The Cliff Walk at The Chandler. Then return walking along Bellevue avenue (the renowned avenue of the rich and famous) to view the awe-inspiring mansions. Also perfect for walking off mudslides and margaritas
If you have a car this is a must. Start your journey off of Bellevue Avenue and make your way down the historic Ocean Avenue (or Drive). Make sure to look on both your left and right not to miss the mansions of the Gilded Ages as well as the newly rich and famous. This is the lazy man's Cliff Walk, but beyond worth it all the same. You will not only be passing stunning mansions but will come to find two beautiful state parks on the Atlantic Ocean. Finish up at Castle Hill and have a cocktail on the Adirondack chairs.
Named one of America's most scenic drives several times.
Restaurant within the Newport Harbor Hotel on Goat Island. Casual attire, swim up pool bar, if you are lucky you may catch some live music. The perfect view of the Newport Bridge and great for pictures. Sit in the Adirondack chairs with a mudslide.
One of the most stunning views in Newport. If the weather is nice this is where you are having a cocktail!
Jamestown has a beautiful little downtown area with small shops and restaurants. Enjoy and appreciate the quaint nature of this New England island while looking across the bay at bustling Newport.
If you're a movie fan, several films have been filmed in this small town. Me, Myself and Irene, Dan in Real Life, Moonrise Kingdom to name a few
Great beach with lots of parking on the Newport side. Head to Flo's Clam Shack or Diegos for lunch.
Do I need a description? For smacking whitey around with the boys (or girls).
