For those that need a place to stay, the venue is in Maple Valley, Washington, about 30 min-1.5 hours away from Seattle, and my family's home is in Renton, Washington about 25 min-1.5 hours away from Seattle.
If you intend on exploring Seattle, you might stay in or closer to Seattle. If you intend on staying in half suburb/half wilderness, or intend on being on time to our wedding and run late, stay closer to my family's house/Maple Valley. If you intend on having other intentions, I'm sure you can figure it out.
There are plenty of hotels, motels, Holiday Inns, AirBnBs, VRBOs, etc. in the area, so have fun looking. Let me know if you need any help!

Car would be easiest to move around, however there are busses (that take forever) and rideshares (that are MONEY), and there is a there and back lightrail that runs from the airport-->Tukwila-->all throughout Seattle, and north of. Tukwila would be closest to the venue if you wanted to do limited car/bus travel.
IF YOU ARE GETTING PICKED UP FROM THE AIRPORT, the traffic gets real backed up. If you HAVE to get picked up you may consider going to the departure, or better yet, take the light rail! You can either take it to Tukwila or Angle Lake to get picked up there or all the way to your destination if you’re staying close there.

REMINDER, WASHINGTON IS GRANOLA AND YOU WILL GET CHARGED FOR PLASTIC BAGS. So bring your own reusable bags! Costco still provides boxes (because fun fact Costco is from Washington) 😄.
