Jake and Katie met in Katie's hometown of Quincy, CA when they attended Feather River College - Jake played Football and Katie was playing Softball. Katie and Jake’s 1st interaction was the day he moved into the dorms and drove out of the u-haul on his 80cc moped, fresh from Seattle and ready for college! About a year later Jake injured himself playing football and Katie volunteered as an AT assistant and helped rehab him back to health where they spent a lot of time in the training room together. After this they had an eventful first date when Jake had the pleasure of meeting her brother Travis for the first time and ruined his precious Jordans as they trekked across the cow fields on one of Katie's night adventures to the airport strip to look at the stars.

Fast Forward to 2021, they moved back to Jake's home state in Washington with their two pups, Moose and Tater. Jake started his career as a Sports Physical Therapist and Katie had the opportunity to work remote in a new dictions with her company, the timing couldn't have been more perfect! Jake had been planning on proposing but the timing had to be perfect. When her brother booked a surprise helicopter tour for her birthday, he knew that would be the most epic proposal of all time!

Katie was so surprised and excited for this adventure, little did she know the true surprise was going to happen right before getting on the helicopter. The day couldn’t have been any more perfect for the both of them and Jake got on a knee and proposed with his late grandma’s beautifully reset diamond ring.

These two have been through several peaks and valleys that would test any couples resilience, strength and determination. In the 8 years they have been together, 3 year of that was long distance during college, they finished their Bachelors Degree’s and Jake completed his Doctorate. They have lived in 4 states throughout their relationship, moved away from friends and family to pursue their career path while supporting and leaning on each other every step of the way. Cheers to the rest of their life together full of love, adventure and happiness!
