If you are staying at either of the hotels on Flagler Ave, we will have shuttle buses to take you to the venue and back. For guests staying at the SpringHill Suites, please meet downstairs at 3:00 PM. For guests staying at the Hampton Inn, please meet downstairs at 3:10 PM. Shuttles will only be making one trip to The Delamater House so it is important that you are on time.
There are 2 weddings with shuttles at the same time so make sure you get on the right one! There will be a shuttle concierge onsite at the hotel helping to direct guests to the different shuttles.
Shuttles will be making trips back to the hotels from 8:15 to 9:15 PM as well as after the reception ends at 10:00 PM.
If you are staying at an airbnb, you can call an Uber or Lyft, just give yourself some buffer time to connect to a ride. New Smyrna Beach can be slow this time of year and may or may not have a lot of drivers available.
There is plenty of free parking at the venue as well. You can leave your car overnight if needed - the venue just asks that you pick it up by 10 am the next day.
If you are driving or ubering - it is very important that you turn onto Tionia Rd and not Williams Rd or Jane Lacy Rd which lead to a dead end. Google maps & Apple maps work well to get to the Delamater House but Uber and Lyft maps will sometimes take you the wrong way.
Is the venue indoor or outdoor?
The Delamater House is an outdoor, open air venue. The reception area is fully covered. They have both fans and heaters depending on the weather. October weather in Florida is usually in the 70s - 80s.
What is the dress code?
The dress code for the wedding is cocktail attire.
We suggest that men wear a suit and tie and women wear a midi- or knee-length dress or dressy separates.
The welcome party is "smart casual" which is still nice/cute but more relaxed than the wedding - think short sleeve button downs, sundresses, and skirts.
Are kids invited?
We love your little ones, however we have decided to keep our wedding an adults-only event. We hope you understand and enjoy a night out! The welcome party will be more casual, so you are welcome to bring your kids Friday evening.
Can I bring a plus one?
Due to limited capacity, we are not able to extend invites to plus ones unless listed on your RSVP.
Can I take pictures during the ceremony?
We are having an "unplugged" ceremony and kindly ask that you refrain from using your cell phone and cameras during the ceremony. We would love for all of us to be in the moment during this special time. Leave the picture taking to the photographers - this avoids cellphones from being in the professional ceremony pictures.
