We are so excited for everyone that is traveling to celebrate with us! We hope that you get to make the most of the weekend and enjoy what a cute beach town NSB is so we've compiled some recommendations below.
- Go to the beach! The easiest place to walk down to the beach is at the end of Flagler Ave but there are lots of public beach access spots. NSB is also one of the few beaches in Florida where you can drive your car on the beach.
- You can also surf some of the best waves in Florida
- Walk Flagler Ave: this is the heart of NSB with lots of cute shops, bars, and restaurants.
- Stroll the Canal Street Historic District. This is right next to where our welcome party is and is easy to walk around and explore.
- Visit the Ponce de Leon Lighthouse
- Golf one of the many courses in NSB
Most of NSB has parallel street parking. There are also some paid parking lots by the beach. Or it is fairly easy to call ubers (they just might not always arrive immediately).
Flagler Ave
- The Breakers: Grab a burger and a beer in a laidback setting with a nice view of the beach. It may seem packed but it's usually not too long of a wait.
- Third Wave Cafe: The food here is so good!! We've only been for brunch and it was amazing but the dinner menu looks tasty too. The vibes are also really cool.
- Flagler Tavern: This is a classic for a seafood lunch or for a lively going out spot at night.
- Some other bars for going out are Tayton O'Brians which is an Irish pub, and Traders which has an outdoor seating area in the back, but it's easy to bop around and walk into whatever looks fun!
- Treats on the Beach: Ice cream :)
E 3rd Ave
- The Garlic: If you are going for vibes, this is the place. It's old school Italian but with a kooky twist. There are plants everywhere and eclectic decorations. The food is good but not the best food we've ever had - you're going for the experience. They don't take reservations so arrive early or if there's a line, you can order a drink from the outside bar while you wait.
- Norwood's Treehouse Restaurant & Bar: Their upstairs seating is in a tree house which is fun. We haven't eaten here but the food looks good - they specialize in seafood, but also serve steaks, pastas, and salad and have an expansive wine menu.
Atlantic Ave
- Chases On the Beach: Chases is located right on the beach which makes for great views and vibes. It's a laidback spot with seafood centric American eats.
Downtown / Canal St. Area / River side
- Outriggers Tiki Bar & Grille: we love Outriggers! They have some of the best seafood in town and great vibes on their outdoor patio looking out at the boats.
- River Deck: Also located right on the river and serve great seafood in a tiki bar setting.
- NSB Brewing: Craft micro-brewery with various styles of beer. We've tried a few and would recommend.
Lastly, on the way in or out, if you can, you have to grab an ice cream from Frozen Gold.
