Emerson and Katie met on a dating website on Christmas Day in 2019—proof that sometimes the best gifts really do come unexpectedly. Not long after, the world changed. Eventually, Katie made the move to Fort Worth, Texas, where the two finally got to build a life side by side. In February of 2023, they became a family of three when they welcomed their dog, Goose—who was born on their anniversary, making her feel like she was always meant to be part of their story. In July of 2024, Emerson proposed in their little Fort Worth apartment—simple, intimate, and perfectly them. After years of memories, milestones, and growth, they took one more leap together. In June of 2025, Emerson and Katie packed up their lives and made a cross-country move to Camden, New York, where they bought their first home and began their next chapter.
