Our Story 

Octoberfest in Carbondale was always one of our favorite weekends of the fall! This small town Carbondale event is full of stein holding competitions, shenanigans, lederhosen and lots of laughs. Back in October of 2012 we both headed out to town not knowing that this night would change our lives. Erin was out with his Carbondale friends and Katie was out with her college and Aspen friends when they met at a real classy establishment called The Pour House. We all started hanging around the jukebox since our groups had mutual friends. We hit it off immediately while picking songs and dancing the night away. The rest is history...

Our Story

Unfortunately, there aren't many rooms left in Redstone as it is a tiny town. As of right now the Redstone Inn, Avalanche Ranch and the Cliffs are sold out. ﻿There are still many Airbnbs and VRBOs in the vicinity. There are options in Carbondale that have plenty of rooms but it is about a 20 minute drive. Reach out to Erin or Katie if you need help finding a place to stay!

This boutique hotel is out of this world with stunning views and incredible history. It isn’t available for booking until May 1st. Feel free to reach out to Katie for more information.

The Redstone Castle 

This historic hotel is where the reception and dance party will be held. We have blocked the entire hotel and it sleeps up to 90 people. You will need to call to make a reservation!

Avalanche Ranch is a 10 minute drive from Redstone and it has cute cabins, hot springs and stunning views.

There are two campground loops available with RV hookups or primitive camping sites. Let us know if you are thinking of camping and we have some extra sites that we have reserved.

The aspen airport is a 45 minute drive to Redstone. Car rentals are available from the airport.

Aspen Airport 

Eagle Airport is about an hour drive to Redstone. It's a scenic drive along I70 through the Glenwood Canyon.

Eagle County Regional Airport

Denver airport has the most flights with the best prices but it is a bit of a drive to Redstone. It is a 3 hours and 30 minute drive. There are also shuttles that can take you from the airport up to the moutains.

Denver International Airport

Grand Junction is only about an hour and a half from Redstone.

Grand Junction Regional Airport

This is about a 20 minute drive from Redstone. It is about 2000 feet lower in elevation so a good choice if you tend to get altitude sickness.

Our little corner of the globe has some incredible views, activities, and food! Here are some suggestions with our favoirite things to do. Feel free to do some, all, or none. One of the best things to do is sit back and relax in Redstone, go for a stroll through the historic boulevard to check out the shops and scenery! Outdoor Adventures

Go for a trip up the Maroon Bells!  Take a hike or just some photos at one of the most beautful places in North America.  You need to take a bus up from Highlands ski area up to Maroon Lake.

Book a rafting or fishing trip on the Frying Pan River, Roaring Fork or Colorado River. The water can be pretty low and chilly in September but never the less beautiful.

Go for a trail ride in Aspen, Snowmass or Redstone! Avalanche outfitters at Redstone 970-963-1144.

Horseback Riding

We have some world renowned fishing on nearby rivers. Fly fish on the Redstone Preserve or anywhere in the valley, here is some information from the Redstone Inn website. We also have sereval friends who are fly fishing guides, so reach out if this is something you are interested in. $85.00 per person full day/$45.00 per person half day. Stay at The Inn and fish for $45.00 a day!Guests enjoy fly fishing on 1.5 miles of the privately stocked Crystal River. All fishing is "catch and release." Guides &amp; equipment are available - please call for more information. To ensure quality, river privileges are limited to 4 rods per day. Reserve through the front desk. State licenses are required. Call 970-963-2526 to make reservations. Guiding available in Redstone now at The Crystal Fly Shop at The Redstone Company Store. Talk with DJ to set up a guided trip on the Crystal or elsewhere in the Valley.

Fly Fishing

Relax and Soak

Go for a soak at these natural springs. Only a 15 minute drive down from Redstone. Reservations are recommended as it normally fills up pretty fast. Book a massage and really relax, you deserve it!

Go for a soak in at Iron Mountain Hot Springs or the Glenwood Hot Springs pool. If you want a drink with your soak then hit up Iron Mtn.

Visit Our Favorite Towns

Head on up to Marble, just a short 15 minute drive from Redstone. Get some take out from the best BBQ in the west and head over to the park or Beaver Lake. Erin loves the briskett and Katie loves the Kale salad with buffalo chicken and jalepenos. Don't forget to get a cookie and a delicious cocktail!

Head up to Aspen for the day. Have lunch, take the gondola up Aspen Mountain, or go on a hike. Ask Erin and Katie for advice on fun things to do for the day.

Go check out where Katie and Erin live. Take the gondola up and go for a coaster ride, check out the mountain bike trails or go for a scenic hike.

Things to Do

Katie and Michelle have known each other for most of their lives. Michelle is a super mom while always being the life of the party and planning extraordinaire!  Now Katie and Michelle are sister in laws and we love traveling together, laughing a lot, skiing for margaritas and making fun of our brother Brian. 

Michelle Oestrike 

Brandon, the best in the west is the greatest brother a guy could ask for and the reason we choose him to be our best-man. He is a decorated film-maker as well as one of the western slopes craft beer experts.  He is always our partner in crime for a fun adventure or a rowdy concert. Brandon is an animal on the karaoke stage, a real pro on the dance floor, and an excellent golf cart driver.

We couldn't think of a better person to marry us!  Devon and Katie have been getting in trouble together all the way since they were 14.  Erin and Devon have been having fun together since their 30's.  Devon has many talents including camping with roller bags, dancing whenever the music is turned up, keeping people alive as she is a nurse on her work days, and really just being the most real and loving friend around!

Kalli the adventure girl! She is always up for a non stop day of skiing, snowboarding, biking (downhill only), camping, rafting, slack lining, really you name it and shes into it .  A real girl after our own hearts!
