It all started at a wedding... Lauren and Brian paired Nick and Kaylene to walk (dance) into the reception together.

Well, Nick and Kaylene really hit it off! Nick would plan movie date nights over FaceTime and Kaylene would come up with recipes to cook together. Eventually, Nick flew to Charleston, SC to visit Kaylene.

They officially met the parents over Christmas 2020...

And it went so well that Nick travelled to Charleston again in the early winter of 2021.

Kaylene showed Nick all the best Charleston spots, which of course included a self-guided tour of the breweries.

They even told Hall's Chophouse that they were celebrating their first anniversary to get free champagne and dessert.

Once Summer came along, Nick couldn't help but fall in love with Charleston (and Kaylene!). They spent a week in the White Mountains with Kaylene's family...

And then Nick officially packed up and moved to Charleston!

They've been on many adventures since then...

And especially enjoy spending time in the mountains.

The adventures got bigger as time went on, and they welcomed sweet Benny to the family in the Spring of 2022.

Benny kept growing over the next year...

Like, a lot...

They were wondering if he'd every stop growing...

Eventually he did, which left them with a puppy the size of a small horse.

Luckily, he's a very good boy.

After a full year of a very large dog in a one bedroom apartment, they decided it was time to build their first home.

And after Kaylene surprised Nick with a visit from Lauren and Brian for his 30th birthday...

Nick one-uped her with a surprise of his own!

Nick proposed to Kaylene on Folly Beach in Charleston on Friday, March 31st.

They closed on their house in December of the same year and were able to celebrate their first Christmas in their new home.

Kaylene and Nick are so grateful for everything they have - most importantly for the best family and friends they could possibly wish for. They look forward to celebrating with everyone soon!
