What you need to know...

The&nbsp;37th Annual Emalani Festival&nbsp;takes place on&nbsp;Saturday, November 1, 2025, in Kōke‘e, Kaua‘i, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Anticipate traffic so please plan to arrive early. When: 11/01/2025Where: Camp SloggettArrive by: 2:45PMCeremony: 3:30pmReception to follow

Dress code: Winter Formal

By winter formal we mean dress in your best but prepare for cold weather. The average temperature in Kōkeʻe is 65-53 degrees in November and rainfall is highly likely. Bring warm layers and boots to change into. Umbrella and rain gear if you have it!

1) From the airport take H50-W towards Waimea. Continue for 23 miles.2) Turn right onto State Hwy 550/Waimea Canyon Dr., continue for 15.5 miles.3) Turn right onto Kumuela Rd., continue for 0.8 miles.4) Take a right following signs to Camp Sloggatt.5) Parking will be available near the gate.*We encourage car pooling due to limited parking space.

Parking

Parking will be possible at the venue and along the road gravel/dirt near the entrance. Please do not block the dirt road which could prevent caterers and bridal party arrival.

Fly into Līhuʻe Airport (LIH)

1) Fly into the Līhuʻe airport (LIH)2) From the airport you will need to rent a vehicle to get to your destination.3) We recommend renting 4WD if available. 4) The venue is located about 1 mile from a paved road. We recommend car pooling because there will be limited parking. Low compact vehicles may be difficult to drive down the dirt road.

Kauai Shores Hotel

We have a Hassett &amp; Luxner Wedding group rate set up at Kauai Shores Hotel in Kapaʻa for people who would like to come early or stay later. The reservation date range is from October 23, 2025 to November 7th, 2025. Call to make a reservation at: Central Reservation Department at (800) 222-5642 Monday-Friday 8am-7pm PST and say you are part of the Hassett &amp; Luxner Wedding Notes: This hotel is in Kapaʻa which is about 1.5hrs away from the wedding venue. This is a great option for those traveling before or after the wedding weekend.

Wedding Weekend

Our wedding venue (Camp Sloggett) is owned by the YWCA, a non-profit, and is a full campground located near Kōkeʻe State Park. There are other campsite options around the State Park or if camping isn’t your thing book a hotel/motel in Waimea Town.

Camping

Camper vans and other camper vehicles are NOT allowed at State Parks or County Parks on Kauaʻi. They ARE allowed at private camp grounds such as Camp Sloggett, Kumu Camp, or Camp Naue. Tent Camping is allowed and affordable at both State and County Parks, but you must reserve a permit in advanced. Please drive safely from the wedding back to your hotel. The road is windy and dark at night. Typically takes 45min to drive from the venue to Waimea Town. -the venue and most places within Kōkeʻe State Park will have NO service unless you have AT&amp;T-the venue has NO wifi to connect to-the venue will have potable water-prepare for mud and rain-the views are incredible
