A neat downtown area in Caldwell with a splash pad, boutiques, a bookstore and lots of fun restaurants.

A nature center with native habitat and wildlife displays that is run by the Idaho Fish and Game.

A must see in Boise! This is the largest cultural area for Basque people in the United States. There is a culture center, a boarding house you can tour, a market and upscale restaurant.

If you are up for an all day excursion, seeing the Owyhee Canyon and Dam is a must see. River fishing on the Owyhee offers world class Brown trout fishing. Some fishing can be done from the Owyhee Dam if you are brave. There are a few very small hot springs that can be found along the river as well.

Another all day adventure, we absolutly recommend going to visit Payette Lake and McCall, ID. It is about a 2 hour drive from Caldwell, but worth it. It's a cute mountain town and a gorgeous lake with plenty of fishing, hiking and water adventures to be had. Also fun shops can be found downtown in McCall.

The city of Caldwell had an AgVenture program in 2024 with tours of Southern Idaho farms, farmers markets, wineries and ranches! The self guided tour is still posted on their website, and hopefully the tour bus will be back for this summer!

There are a bunch of wineries in southern Idaho, especially the Sunnyslope region. A lot offer lunch options and tastings. There are also plenty of wine tour options, I have linked one website but a quick google will find even more.

We have heard that this is an excellent course if you enjoy golfing!
