Scenic drive around Lake Tahoe

Whether you have a rental or your own personal car. Taking a trip around Lake Tahoe can be relaxing and breathtaking. The fact that you would be in two states in one day is just a plus!!! I can't encourage this drive enough. It does take a couple of hours to do. But the views of the mountains and the lake are indescribable.

The Aerial tram takes you from the village up the Palisades mountain for 360 degree Lake Tahoe scenery. there is a restaurant at the top to also enjoy! please be aware that this tram is not open all year round and runs based on weather conditions. In the fall, there may be days it isn't running.

Rubicon Trailhead North

The infamous trail. This trail runs along the lake giving you a gorgeous view on your hike. There are many options to get on and off this trail and you can choose if you want to hike 3 miles or 8 miles. The entire trail is 11 miles round trip. Please be aware while this trail is mostly easy, there may be some areas that are more rough in terrain and would be considered moderate.

Truckee River Legacy Trail - Glenshire Trailhead

There are numerous trails in Lake Tahoe and surrounding areas to enjoy. Truckee only 20-30 minutes away from Lake Tahoe is one of them. This area provides great shopping, dining and of course outdoor activities.

Kings Beach

Located in Tahoe City. This beach is one of the more popular beaches of Lake Tahoe. There is a lot of history on this beach as well as many restaurants to choose from within walking distance. Enjoy the warmth of the day while looking that scenery Lake Tahoe has to offer.
