Our Wedding

Our Story

In the summer of 2016, Joey and Kelly met at a local gym. Kelly's friend Anna (bridesmaid) raved about her personal trainer named Kevin and how wonderful the gym programs were, so Kelly joined because of this. It turned out that Joey also trained with Kevin, and one day during his session he decided to say hi to Kelly when she was walking past. This brief interaction was later followed up with Joey asking Kelly more about herself, telling her that her tattoos were cute, and asking her out on a date. Today they own a home in Medford, about 45 minutes from where they grew up. Their home really came together once they adopted their daughter, a big rescue American Bulldog named Haley, who will be the flower girl in the upcoming ceremony. Joey and Kelly are getting married in the Fall of 2023 in upstate New York. The town of Roscoe is full of special memories they have built together. With lots of small simple pleasures, it offers just the right amount of things to do for weekend getaways. This cute Catskill area includes hiking trails, distilleries, breweries, the famous Roscoe Diner, alpaca farms and more. The happy is couple is so excited to be celebrating their love and have a ceremony somewhere that feels like a home away from home. They can not wait for their guests to join them!

How We Met

Roscoe, New York

Why Roscoe? We chose to have a mini-destination wedding because of how much the small town of Roscoe means to us. Happy places include hiking trails, petting zoos, breweries and distilleries. Roscoe is called Trout Town USA, so it's a wonderful spot to stay if you're a fisherman!

The Roscoe Diner

This diner is probably the most famous part of this area. Just off of Route 17, The Roscoe Diner at one point was known for being a famous small town eatery. They were known for serving more customers daily than than it had people populating the town. It became a well known stopping spot for those on the road, and started later attracting more people to come to the small town.

Spotted Cow Cafe & Grill

This local breakfast spot is located in the center of town. It has a very extensive coffee menu, along with a really great breakfast, lunch &amp; dessert menu.

The Junction

The owners are a fly-fishing couple from Brooklyn that opened their own space up here. Open from Friday-Monday, this place has an amazing seasonal food menu, not to mention an amazing cocktail selection. Walk-ins only, with drinks served from 4pm-midnight &amp; food served from 5pm-9:30pm,

Alpaca Farm

Buck Brook Alpacas is a local alpaca farm in the area. You can visit the site and arrange anything from a private site tour to alpaca yoga sessions, raw gem mining, craft workshops, &amp; more!

Russell Brook Falls

This local waterfall is a fun hike if you're a nature lover! We recommend hiking with a partner just to be safe. If you're on the app "All Trails", this is on there.

Roscoe Brewery

This local brewery is located in the center of town and is usually pretty crowded. In the Summer and Fall, there are usually live bands and events almost every weekend. They have their own crafted beers and great bar food.

Do Good Spirits

This distillery has been noticed previously for making "the best vodka in New York" as well as manufacturing their own gin and bourbon in more recent years. We like coming here because it is great go-to spot for finely crafted cocktails, and they also have as beer from local Catskill breweries. Most importantly, there is food and live music every weekend in the Summer and Fall.

Catskill Brewery

This brewery is in Livingston Manor, about 15-20 minutes from the town of Roscoe. We love the environment, beer selections, and overall vibe of the place!

Attractions

The venue does not allow on site parking, we are asking all guests to park at the hotels and use the transportation services we are providing. Shuttle buses will be provided to and from the hotels to the venue. We kindly thank you for your cooperation! (Refer to our Q&amp;A page if needed).

TRANSPORTATION  - Shuttle Buses

Kelly's Choice! In the heart of town, this small motel has 16 quaint rooms. Located approximately 10 minutes from the wedding venue, The Roscoe Motel has an L-shaped structure with rooms that face the river bank and the large open field behind it. The owner Rachel prides herself on running a cute, clean getaway that is known for being the fisherman's go-to place to stay. Maybe if we're lucky, the front desk golden retriever Charlie will be on duty. NOT ONLINE - BLOCKED FOR US - Call to reserve &amp; Use the name UMANA for that weekend.

The Roscoe Motel

About 20 minutes away, this is the closest major hotel to our venue. They have been really easy to work with and very accommodating of our larger wedding. They've offered us 50 simple rooms at a decent price. We recommend booking earlier if you'd like a King size bed! Transportation will be provided by shuttle to the venue at select times. Travel & Hotels 

The Night Before

If you plan on coming up to the venue the night before the wedding, we are planning on meeting up at The Roscoe Brewery for a very casual Welcome Party, happening from 6:30pm-8:30pm with some buffet options. This is open to whoever wants to join us!

The venue will open at 4:00pm with the ceremony beginning promptly at 5:00pm. Shuttles will run from 3:45pm-4:30pm to take guests from the designated hotels to The Bold Manor. Cocktail hour and reception to follow, with after party starting at 11:00pm on site. Shuttles will be available all night to all hotel destinations. We're so ready to celebrate with you!Let's boogie, ya'll!

Common Questions

Can I drive to the venue?

Unfortunately, no. Our venue is very new &amp; small, and there is no parking on site, which is why we are providing shuttles from all designated hotels. We request no outside B&amp;B's be booked for this reason. We worked very hard to make accommodations for our guests around this by having shuttles available for all listed hotels. What Should I Wear?

Cocktail attire, please!There will be grassy and hilly areas, so we suggest flat shoes or block heels with a lower height and a thicker heel. We also encourage guests to bring jackets, as it may get colder late at night.

Is this an unplugged ceremony?

Yes. We have paid professionals to capture our day, and we'll be happy to send you all pictures afterwards. Phones down &amp; go enjoy yourselves!

Is there an open bar?

Yes! Not only will we have an open bar, but we will have designated area for all cannabis users. We ask that all canna-consumers responsibly enjoy the lounge that we have specifically curated for this event.

Can I bring a date?

No extra guests, please.

Can I Bring My Kids?

No. The only child at this ceremony will be Haley, our American Bulldog, who is a big enough baby for all of us to deal with.
