Our Wedding

Kelsey and Logan met while both flight instructing at the University of Dubuque during a UD For Kids event. Logan had just finished the final flight of the day with a plane full of kids, and Kelsey had stuck around to help push the planes back into the hangar. We’d like to say it was love at first sight and they started dating immediately, but Logan isn’t the best at picking up hints. Fast forward a few months and Logan finally works up the courage to ask Kelsey out on a date during Winter Break of 2023. They hit it off instantly this time (second time’s the charm, I guess) and spent the majority of the break together exploring all that Christmas time in Dubuque has to offer. Their favorite memory during this time is their third date which took place right here at the Cathedral of St. Raphael. Kelsey asked to hang out on a Sunday evening, and Logan said he’d love to- right after he got back from Mass. Kelsey had never been to a Catholic Mass before, so she asked if she could tag along. Of course Logan was ecstatic to bring her along and they had a great time together. This was the start of a long journey together that would eventually lead to Kelsey’s conversion and baptism into the Catholic Church where Logan served as her sponsor. Logan and Kelsey both can’t wait to welcome you to the St. Raphael Cathedral, and look forward to celebrating this great sacrament together!
