Things to Do

Washington Recommendations

Explore Pike Place Market (Seattle)

Pike Place market is a must see for first time visitors! Old Stove Brewing is connected to the market and has some great views of the water and the city. Swing by Beecher's Cheese across the street from the Pike Place sign for a cup of their amazing salmon mac & cheese and get a glimpse of the very first Starbucks a few doors down.

The Nest Rooftop Bar (Seattle)

Grab a drink or an appetizer while soaking up some of the best waterfront views in the city!

The Pink Door (Seattle)

The Pink Door is one of the best Italian seafood spots in the city. Pro tip: If the weather is nice, try to make a reservation for the outdoor patio to sneak a view of the Puget Sound!

Hop on a Ferry from Seattle to Bainbridge Island (Seattle)

What better way to see the city than boat?! Jump on the ferry by foot or by car and explore the quaint little town of Bainbridge. Link here for more details.

Explore Kirkland and Bellevue (just east of Seattle)

Welcome to the east side of the city! We have a ton of recommendations in this area since we live in Kirkland, so please reach out to us for any more details or food recommendations! 😊

Some of our favorite view spots are Meydenbauer Park, Medina Point, Bellevue Botanic Gardens and Newcastle Golf Club restaurant/putt-putt course.

Snoqualmie Falls (road trip stop)

One of our favorite places to visit is Snoqualmie falls for breathtaking views of the waterfall. It's just a quick stop off of the route with parking right nearby. See the link here for more details!

If you're looking for a little more of an adventurous waterfall experience, we'd recommend you check out a nearby hike called Twin Falls that might be a good option for you! Link to the hike here.

Leavenworth (road trip stop)

Leavenworth is a small Bavarian-themed town on the way to Chelan that feels like a little slice of Germany in Washington! With the Bavarian architecture, food/beer, and mountainous backdrop, it'll be a great stop on your road trip!

Best spots to visit: Munchen Haus, Blue Spruce Pizza, and Rhein Haus 🍻

Icicle Brewing Company (road trip stop)

This brewery is in downtown Leavenworth and has all of the vibes, great beers and is dog friendly 😉 Swing by for a beer or to stock up your hotel/Airbnb for the wedding in Chelan!

97 Rock House (road trip stop)

This little coffee shop is a local favorite! We'd recommend a salted chocolate chip cookie, ice cream or a coffee. Or, you can take a page out of our book and get an espresso milkshake with cookies blended in to try them all at once 😉

Wine Tasting (Chelan)

Lake Chelan has a ton of amazing wineries where you can relax, sip on some wine and soak up the lake and mountain views. Some of our favorites are Tsillian Cellars, Fielding Hills, Benson Vineyards. But feel free to check out the link here and see which ones look good to you!

Enjoy the Lake (Chelan)

The best part of Lake Chelan is getting out on the lake! There are some local city beach parks to jump off the dock, get out on a float or just hang out and relax! The link here shows some of those spots, but Lakeside Park seems to be a convenient spot for the wedding guests!

There are also boat rentals, jet skis, etc. to get out on the lake as well!

Slidewaters (Chelan)

Slidewaters is a great little water park that has kid-sized slides, a lazy river, a surf wave and a taco cantina with mountain views! Check out the website here to learn more about the times, ticket prices, etc.

Restaurants in Chelan

Chelan might be known for their wine, but they have some great food to offer as well! Check out Tin Lilly for more casual bar food, Local Myth for some amazing pizza, Layla's Kitchen, Lakeside Restaurant for rooftop views, The Landing, Vogue for great coffee, or Goldie's for some acai bowls!

Google Map

To help, we put together a google map with some of the locations on the list above along with a few additions! If the weather and time allows, we'd recommend you drive a different route to and from Chelan, to create a loop and see extra sites along the way!
