The Calenda is a local tradition that dates back many centuries and is a fundamental part of festivities in Oaxaca. To mislead the spirits, as to who is the bride, all guests wear white. During the parade through town, participants dance, enjoy music, and celebrate the bride and groom.

The Calenda will lead the parade to the Rompehielos aka "Ice-breaker" for some local cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. We love your children, but venue restrictions cannot accommodate guests under age 18.

After the ceremony, yay! Refreshments will be served in the courtyard.
