Located on the North Shore it is one of the most photographed beaches on Hawaii. A haven for shelling, snorkeling, and scuba diving during summer. Palms and Ironwood trees fringe this crescent-shaped bay. The golden sand beach has a backdrop of lush jungle and mountains, making this a picture-perfect beach. Tunnels is a favourite surfing, winds surfing, and kite surfing beach. Lava tubes form the many underwater caverns giving Tunnels its name and a magical underworld to explore.

Parking for this beach is best at Haena Beach Park.

WHAT WILL THE WEATHER BE LIKE THIS TIME OF YEAR?

In late September and early October, Kauai, Hawaii, experiences pleasant temperatures, ranging from 24-28°C. IS IT EASY TO GET AROUND KAUAI WITHOUT A CAR?

Kauai is a relatively small and less developed island compared to some of the other Hawaiian islands like Oahu. While it is possible to get around Kauai without a car rental, it might not be as convenient as having your own vehicle.
