Q + A

WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?

We would love to have our family and friends get dressed up for our big day, but we also want everyone to feel comfortable. Dress code is Cocktail/Formal. Ladies can wear cocktail, floor length, or midi dresses. Gentlemen can wear suit and tie. No jeans please!

CAN I BRING A DATE?

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one they will appear under your name when you RVSP. Thank you for understanding!

ARE KIDS INVITED?

Your little ones are also special to us! But we have decided to keep our wedding and reception an adults-only event with the exception of immediate family. We encourage you to use this event as a date night out! Your invitation will be made out to "The (Your Last Name) Family" if your children have been invited.

WHAT IF I HAVE DIETARY RESTRICTIONS?

No worries! If you have any dietary restrictions please indicate in the notes when you RSVP. We will be serving both vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes. Please let us know of any allergies or needed accommodations.

WILL THERE BE A BAR?

Yes! Beer, wine, cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages are on us! Due to venue policy and regulations, you are not allowed to bring any other alcoholic beverages on the premise.

WILL THE WEDDING TAKE PLACE OUTSIDE?

The ceremony and reception will both take place indoors. Cocktail hour will take place outside on the venue patio, weather permitted.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I CAN'T MAKE IT?

You will be missed! If you cannot attend our wedding, please indicate your regrets on our RSVP tab so we can plan accordingly.

IS THERE PARKING AVAILABLE?

Adjacent to St James 1868 are two paid public surface lots, the Library Lot and the Wells Fargo Lot, where guests can pay to park. Street parking in downtown Milwaukee is free on weekdays after 6pm. 8th Street, 9th Street and Michigan Ave are steps away from St James.

WHAT TIME DOES THE CEREMONY START?

The ceremony will start at 4:30pm. Please arrive in time to find parking if needed and seats prior to the start time.
