Ever wanted to experience an Olympic size speed skating rink? Petit Ice Center is open to the public for ice skating and at times you can catch speed skaters practicing on the smaller rinks.

Another favorite spot for friends and family when they visit, the Milwaukee Public Market is a one-stop-shop for local market items and restaurants. Inside they have a butcher, cheese shop, candy shop, along with others. They also have some great restaurants including St Paul Fish Co., Thainamite, a Wine bar and Anodyne Coffee. Located right in Third Ward, this area of downtown is a great spot to walk around, do some shopping and grab lunch or dinner.

This place is one of our favorite places for cheese curds. They have a great selection of beers and a few setlzers. They also offer brewery tours and just recently rennovated their back patio.

A unique urban prairie ecosystem and a key Monarch stopping ground. This is the only state park within Milwaukee County and a great spot for a walk along the lake.

The first Saturday of October is a Milwaukee County Zoo Family Free day! This is a great opportunity to take advantage of a local free event.
