Kimi and Brian virtually met eachother in August 2020 on Tinder where Brian "super liked" Kimi. Kimi was dazzled by Brian's warm and friendly face and decided to "swipe right". They bonded over their love for food and decided after a few interactions to meet in person and go on a date.

Kimi and Brian were supposed to go on their first date in early September 2020. The afternoon of the date, Brian texted Kimi to reschedule as he needed to help his grandma with something. They didn't end up going on the date. A few weeks after cancelling the date, Kimi ghosted Brian as she was in the process of adopting her first dog Otis.

After a few weeks, Kimi decided to text Brian again to hopefully reschedule their first date. Eventually on October 9, 2020 they went on their first date at Los Caballitos on Passyunk Street in Philadelphia. The date went somewhat well with Brian being on the quieter side and Kimi trying to make up for the awkward silence.

The night ended with Brian dropping Kimi off at her house and Otis running and jumping on Brian (which was out of character). Kimi thinks this was Otis' way of telling her "he's the one".

Kimi and Brian decided to see each other again. Their third date is what sealed the deal. Brian came over to Kimi's house and they had a movie marathon. They watched 4 movies and also went out to dinner. They got to know each other more and after this date is where their relationship became established. From there the rest was history.
