Hello Cherished Folks near and dear to our hearts!!

As you all know, our Wedding is quickly approaching. A couple things to note before the big day:

Timing

The ceremony starts at 3 pm on Saturday. Plan to arrive between 2pm – 230pm to give yourselves lots of time to make your way up to the ceremony area and get comfortable.

Directions

The address of the venue is 3529 Stropky Road in Cranbrook, BC. The turn does come up quite quickly on the highway so make sure to keep your eyes out for Wedding This Way signs as you approach the turn. Cross over the railroad tracks and park at the bottom of the hill, which will be marked. There will be signs directing you to walk up the short hill to the property.

Heat

As you all know, climate change is a thing and BC has been in and out of extreme heat warnings. We want to make sure that everyone is comfortable, so please check the weather before you get dressed in the morning and make sure to dress appropriately (for the heat). Hats or parasols are absolutely recommended and make sure to put on sunscreen. We will also have more available if you need to put extra on!

As we are in the mountains when the sun sets there is the possibility that it could get a little cooler. Bring a sweater or jacket if you need one.

Additionally, please bring a water bottle to fill up and keep hydrated (if possible). There will be multiple water stations and we want to cut down on plastic waste as much as possible!

Bar

The bar is a toonie bar for all alcoholic beverages. If you are going to be drinking, please make sure to bring your wallet. Cash or card is accepted.

As Kira and multiple other folks at the wedding are sober individuals, we ask that you are respectful and drink responsibly. Please be aware that excessive or unruly intoxication, and/or disrespectful behaviour will not be tolerated.

Additionally, if you are drinking, please make sure that you have a designated driver to get you home safe and sound. There is a taxi service that will come to the property, Star Taxi (250) 426 5511, but to avoid any long waits, it would definitely be easier to arrange a designated driver.
