Trevor Landmark

Hi there! If you are reading this, then you are as excited as I am about the upcoming union between these two wonderful and beautiful souls. As I will be undertaking the duties and responsibilities of Macks BM (that’s best man), it will most likely be inevitable you will either hear my name or see my face around. Thankfully, Kira has come up with an ingenious way for everyone to know a little about myself, rather than the mysterious figure I usually am.

If it is not already apparent, my name is Trevor Landmark. I was born on the 4th of June, 1990 at the Cranbrook general hospital. I spent the first 10 years of my life living in Cranbrook BC with my mother (Dawn) and father (Dean). Now my family is a large one, consisting of two elder biological brothers, two elder step-brothers, a younger step-brother, and a younger half-sister. But it does not stop there. I am also very close with my extended family on both my father’s and mother's respective sides. With my father’s side, we hold a family reunion every 2 years, unless there was a wedding in-between, or more recently, a national pandemic. With my mother’s side, she has twin sister who still lives in Cranbrook, and had three children all close to my age. So naturally, we were very close. After leaving Cranbrook in 2000, my family (mom, stepdad, 4 older brothers) found ourselves in Calgary, Alberta. Meanwhile my father, step-mum and step mother remained in BC, but had moved to the North Thompson Okanagan, then finally settling in Penticton. I had remained in Calgary until my Grade 11 year, which coincided with the birth of my younger sister. To assist my sister, I decided to move to Penticton to finish off my final 2 years of high school living with my father. After graduating I found myself in northern BC, and eventually back in Calgary, Alberta in 2009. To this day, I still call Calgary home.

It was in Calgary, where I first met Mack. Since 2009, I have been a professional musician, touring all over the world. Being a musician has given me the opportunity to visit breathtaking places, meet wonderful people, and the unique ability to share a bit of myself with the world. Unfortunately, being a musician doesn’t always pay the bills. To make ends meet I ventured into the culinary world. To me, the parallels between music and food were numerous and I was able to excel. From being a Sous Chef to a major casual gourmet restaurant, to an integral part of a neighborhood dive bar. It was at this bar, I met Mack. Now at first, we were pleasant with each other. Mutual respect for each other as we were able to handle the night business of the bar with ease. Until on a slower night we got to chatting. Our birthdays are mere hours away from each other. He lived in my hometown. Hell, he even went to school with my cousins. After singing a karaoke duet of Red-Hot Chili Peppers one night at work, we both recognized that this friendship was something special. A couple years, and many fresh-pots later, the planets aligned and we rented a house together where we still reside.

“But Trevor, we want to learn about you!” Well, dear reader, I am big believer that our past and history does not define us, but to know who we are, we have to understand how we got there. Now that the big picture stuff is out of the way, you should have a fairly firm grasp of some of my values and beliefs. Now is time for the fun stuff! If you couldn’t tell, I love music. To the point where I have a studio in my home. I can play multiple instruments and the ones I cannot play; I can still make sound pretty. Outside of that, I love to learn. Whether it's woodworking, 15th century castle building, or the inner workings of the modern internal combustion engine, if it's interesting, I will try to understand it. I also love animals, and live with my three rescues: Samwise (3), who is a Leonberger/German Shepherd, and the definition of a big friendly giant. Pawwzy Osborne (3), is a domestic black shorthair cat. He is the troublemaker. If you think of the trouble cats cause, that is Pawzzy’s daily goal. And finally, there is Toothless (5) another domestic Black Shorthair cat. He is the patriarch of the house. Quiet, Calculating, and an absolute cuddler. They are really what get me through the day, week by week. Now this year has been especially trying for everyone. I myself suffered a work injury that has left me partially disabled. But fret not. With the support from the animals, and the soon to be Steeles, I am well on the road to recovery. On top of that I will be attending SAIT in January 2022 to gain a new career in accounting, and am currently working on my Third studio album.

So now you know a little about me, and how my journey has fantastically been intertwined with Mack and Kira’s. I cannot wait to see everyone this summer, and am thankful that we can all share this wonderful day together.
