Luke and Krista's story begins back in high school. They met through mutual friends in St. Louis and hung out only a handful of times before Luke went off to college in Chicago and Krista attending Mizzou a year later.

Fast forward 10 years...they reconnected in San Diego, CA.

In fall of 2018, Luke moved to San Diego and reached out to Krista on Instagram, hoping she remembered him. Krista did in fact remember Luke and invited him and his longtime friend, Matt to join her and her roommates for a night out in Pacific Beach. Soon after that, Luke asked Krista on a first date to Belmont Amusement Park in Mission Beach where they played games, grabbed dinner, and ended the night sitting on the beach talking for hours. Although there was some confusion at the start, by the end of the night, it was clear there was an undeniable connection (and maybe some nerves) in the air!

Luke and Krista continued to date and explore California together, learning quickly that they shared similar values and dreams despite any differences.
