We will be staying in Carmel-by-the-Sea. Downtown Carmel offers dining, shopping, and beautiful beaches. It is dog-friendly and walkable to most attractions! There are boutique hotels, Airbnb's, and Bed n' Breakfast accommodations (book direct or on third party booking sites like booking.com). There aren't any large, brand name hotels, but you can't go wrong with anything in downtown Carmel-by-the-sea.

While you can stay in nearby towns like Monterey, Seaside, Pebble Beach, or Pacific Grove, please keep the commute in mind as it may require a car rental or ride share services.

We highly recommend renting a car to explore these areas further as each town is unique! If you choose to stay in Big Sur, you will need a car as cell reception is spotty and ride-share services are not available.

We recommend booking your lodging ASAP as it is a popular destination for Californians and home to many annual events. It is also Mother’s Day weekend.
