This hotel is located in the heart of Mt. Pleasant and only a 20 minute drive to Dunes West. The hotel offers complimentary on site parking and free wifi. Hyatt Place Charleston Airport/Convention Center
This hotel is located near the Charleston Airport and a 30 minute drive to Dunes West. Hyatt Place has been a family favorite chain of ours for years. The hotel offers complimentary breakfast, free onsite parking, and free wifi. The hotel has a 24 hour fitness center, indoor pool, and is pet friendly. If you rather stay in a home, condo, or beach house we recommend checking Airbnb or VRBO. You will likely want to stay in Mt. Pleasant, Charleston, North Charleston, Isle of Palms, or Sullivan's Island. Because Dunes West Golf Club is located in a neighborhood, there are very few options near the venue. If you intend on staying beachfront, you may also check the Wild Dunes Resort. If booking one of the places mentioned above, be aware that many may only be available if booked for a week or more so a hotel may be the best budget friendly option.
Charleston International Airport
If you are flying in from out of town, you will be flying into Charleston International Airport. The airport is newly renovated with two terminals. 12 different airlines fly in and out of CHS including Delta, Spirit, Southwest, JetBlue, American, and more.
Transportation/Rental Cars
Public transportation is limited in the Charleston area, therefore we recommend having your own form of transportation. For many, the easiest way will be to rent a car. The largest rental car facility in the area is located at Charleston International Airport. You can rent from 8 different companies including Alamo, Avis, Enterprise, and more. Uber and Lyft are also available in the area. Please know that Ubers and Lyfts will be very limited the night of the wedding so we would recommend carpooling.
