When will I need to book the hotel?

Your $250 per person deposit has secured you a room at the hotel. Hotel balances, less paid deposits, for your stay arriving Monday August 12 to check-out on Friday August 16 will be sent with payment options by the end of April. We are also offering guests the option to stay for an additional night on Sunday August 11th 2024.

Any suggestions on where to stay in Rome?

Rome has no shortage of hotels, AirBnBs, or B&Bs to stay at. We really like the area of Trastevere which is across the River Tiber. The main tourist sites are less than 30 minutes walking distance from the hotel listed below. It feels like you are living like the locals do. There are TONS of amazing food options and things to see!

GETTING TO THE HOTEL

For guests who are not renting a car, for transportation to the hotels we are looking into organizing a shuttle/ride service. This will be available for the Sunday and Monday from Perugia Rail Station with return service to Perugia on the Friday. Perugia Rail Station (Perugia Fontivegge Railway Station) services trains to and from both Rome and Florence in addition to other cities. There will also be shuttles available between the two hotel sites.

TRAVEL

Nearest Airport is San Francesco d’Assisi Airport which is Umbria International Airport and is located just outside of Perugia. This airport has seasonal service via British Airways (London - Heathrow), Ryanair (London - Stansted, Barcelona, Vienna, etc.) and Transavia (Rotterdam - The Hague).

Leonardo da Vinci - Fiumicino Airport located in Rome. Serviced by all International Carriers with direct flights from Toronto, Calgary, Perth, and Sydney. The drive to Perugia is 2 hr 45 min by car.

Florence Airport. Serviced by a few International Carriers with connections through Athens, Amsterdam, Brussels, Frankfurt, London, Madrid, Paris, Rome, Vienna, etc. The drive to Perugia is 2 hr 45 min by car.

The FIFA World Cup is being held in Paris from July 24th - August 10th 2024 which may impact travel in and around France.

Van/Car pick-up can be arranged from Rome, Florence, or Assisi at a cost to you but we recommend taking the fast train to Perugia (2.5 hrs) and then we will come and pick you up in a van at no charge (45 min drive).

ATTIRE

What is the dress code?

Italy is known to be HOTTTT in the summer so please leave your formal attire at home - think semi-formal/cocktail attire. Our wedding day will have a guest colour theme to incorporate into your wedding look. We want you all to feel like you are part of our wedding party! (Please refer to the Attire photo below)

WEDDING DETAILS

The wedding and the reception will be outdoors. The site is a short walk from the hamlet (shuttle is available) so chose your footwear accordingly or bring a change of shoes.

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the festivities. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.
