Our Wedding Celebration

Ecclesiastes 3:11 – “Everything is beautiful in God’s timing.” There is a time to live and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal… and so the scripture goes. There is a time for everything. And in the midst of waiting for a husband, Ecclesiastes 3:11 was the verse Beth held onto, trusting that there would be a moment—the moment—when the Lord would bring the right person in His perfect timing. Who knew that said person would cross paths with her many times without either of them ever knowing it? The invisible string theory states that two people are connected by a quiet, unseen thread long before they meet, patiently waiting for the right moment when their lives finally intertwine. In many ways, that is exactly what happened with Nick and Beth. In June of 2024, the two finally met—on the unhinged dating app otherwise known as Hinge. Beth had just accepted a job in Orlando, Florida, and while visiting family, she switched her dating location from Arkansas to Florida, knowing that after graduating with her master’s degree from the University of Arkansas, she would soon be moving there. From their first messages, the connection was immediate and undeniable. They dated long-distance at first, sharing their very first “date” watching Zootopia over an online platform. As days passed, they learned more and more about each other—like how both had lived only 45 minutes apart in Oklahoma as kids, how they both loved spending time at Disney World, and even how they had crossed paths in the parks many times without realizing it. In fact, back in March 2024, both Nick and Beth were at Disney Springs on St. Patrick’s Day—just a few steps apart, yet still not meeting. So many times their invisible string drew tight, but they hadn’t quite reached each other yet. Through all those long calls and late-night conversations, they learned how to communicate, laugh, and build something real despite the miles between them. You know Nick had to be special, because Beth—who never sacrificed her school deadlines—slowly started spending less time on assignments and more time talking to him. In August, Beth finally moved to Florida, and two days later, they had their first in-person date. What was meant to be a romantic evening quickly turned into pure chaos when they accidentally picked a night with a hurricane. What Nick assumed would surely be the end of their budding relationship instead became a day filled with laughter, spontaneity, and joy. Somehow, even a hurricane couldn’t shake how right it all felt. From that moment on, the timeline and string wove tighter and tighter. Weekends together turned into late nights, late nights turned into long drives on I-4 just to spend an hour with each other, and those fleeting hours quickly became the highlight of every week. With every passing day, Nick realized he was falling more deeply in love. In October 2024, while Beth was away on a work trip, Nick reached out to her father to have dinner. What Beth didn’t know was that he was asking for her father’s blessing—even before the words “I love you” had escaped his lips to her.In his heart, he knew.On the day Nick proposed, Beth prayed for confirmation. As she sought peace, the Lord brought her back to the Scripture she had held onto for years—Ecclesiastes 3:11. But this time, He nudged her to keep reading. That’s when she found Ecclesiastes 3:14: “Everything God does will endure forever.” It felt like the final piece of the puzzle, the divine reassurance that she was stepping into God’s perfect timing. Beth and Nick chose March 14th—3/14—as their wedding date, a quiet nod to that scripture and the promise that what God brings together truly lasts forever. And though they married privately a year ago, this celebration marks their time to gather with family and friends and honor everything the Lord has written. Their story isn’t one of coincidence, but of timing—deliberate, patient, and beautiful. A story of two people whose paths nearly touched for years, until suddenly, in God’s perfect moment, they finally did.

Michaela may be Beth’s older sister, but more than anything, she’s been a built-in best friend. Throughout Beth’s life, Michaela has been a constant source of support, encouragement, and inspiration. The two share a special bond rooted in their love for all things Disney—from baking themed treats to countless childhood tea parties. Some of Beth’s sweetest memories include those playful moments growing up side by side. It only makes sense that Michaela would be right by her side for her own Happily Ever After. Her joyful spirit and unwavering support makes her the perfect Matron of Honor.

Brian is Nick’s best friend and the ultimate gym bro. They technically met at the gym, but their real friendship took off at a mutual friend’s birthday party—because nothing bonds two guys like lifting weights and free cake. Since then, Brian has been there for just about every fun memory... and every questionable one too. From spontaneous adventures to the kind of ideas that probably should’ve stayed ideas, Brian has been Nick’s go-to guy through it all. There’s no one else Nick would rather have standing by his side (and probably roasting him) on his wedding day.

Emily has been Beth’s childhood best friend since their days in children’s church, and their friendship has only grown brighter since then. Whether they’re belting out Taylor Swift songs,  or binge-watching Glee reruns, Emily’s infectious energy always shines through. She’s known for proudly declaring, “I’m a freaking ray of sunshine,” and she truly is just that in Beth’s life—a constant source of light, laughter, and friendship. From their college roommate adventures filled with TJ Maxx runs, concerts, and sharing countless inside jokes and heartfelt moments, Emily has been there for every up and down. Beth can’t imagine standing at the altar without her most loyal best friend shining by her side.

John is Nick’s brother-in-law and someone Nick is proud to have by his side. Nick had the honor of being John’s best man at his wedding, so it’s extra meaningful that John is now standing with Nick on his big day. Whether it’s family gatherings, sharing laughs, or just being there when it counts, John has been a steady and supportive presence in Nick’s life.

Beth and Memory first crossed paths in the President’s Leadership Class, but their friendship really took off during a study abroad trip to Germany and Italy. Picture this: freezing at fancy dinners in matching pink sweatshirts and the chaos of someone trying to break into their apartment in Rome. From that moment on, they were basically inseparable. Memory’s bubbly personality, endless support, and knack for turning any situation into an adventure has made her one of Beth’s closest friends. They’ve shared everything from inside jokes, Florida beach trips, and countless laughs with Emily, making their trio a bundle of fun and unforgettable memories.

Chris is Nick’s second oldest brother and has always been a great role model—even if he likes to joke about being the “favorite” sibling. With his down-to-earth attitude and genuine care, Chris has inspired Nick in many ways. He’s also the family DJ and the go-to for everyone’s “walk out song” at every gathering, bringing the fun wherever he goes. Beyond the brotherly banter, Chris is a devoted father to his two girls, showing every day what it means to be loving, patient, and present. Nick is grateful to have Chris standing by his side on this important day.

Elle is Michaela’s sister-in-law, but to Beth, she feels like a sister, too. From the very beginning, Elle and her family have welcomed Beth with kindness and love, making her feel like one of their own. Elle’s kind and genuine spirit is just one of the many reasons Beth is so grateful to have her by her side. Some of Beth’s favorite memories include cozy family game nights with the Cozads and building LEGO trains together during Christmas—moments that have made Elle an irreplaceable part of Beth’s life.

Beth adores Ashley’s kids and loves being their aunt. And as a bonus, she’s grateful to have another Swiftie in the family. More than anything, Beth is thankful to have gained not just a sister-in-law, but a sister and a friend.

She has been there to watch Beth and Nick’s relationship grow from casual texts to the love they share today. Some of Beth’s favorite memories are the double dates with Andrea and Brian, from Disney trips and beach days to casual nights at Chili’s and Ale House, always full of laughter and happy tears. Andrea’s fun, easygoing energy and constant support have made every moment better, and Beth is so grateful for all the adventures they’ve shared and all the fun still ahead.
