Lauren and Dennis met in the spring of 2021 in a way that’s become quite common these days—online. With a little nudge from Lauren’s Aunt Dunyelle, who suggested she download Bumble, it took less than a week before Lauren and Dennis both swiped right!

After exchanging a few promising messages, they decided to meet in person. Their first date was at Kava in the South End, where they enjoyed afternoon drinks and easy conversation. The connection was instant, and they quickly realized how well they clicked—even though Dennis had to rush off for a tennis match (there’s still some debate over whether he gave Lauren a heads-up about that!). Nevertheless, Dennis texted her that same evening, and from then on, their relationship flourished.

They bonded over shared adventures—discovering new restaurants, cozy nights in with Dennis cooking, weekend getaways, visits to the Cape, and spending time with family and friends. But it was in the everyday moments—long conversations, laughter, walks with Maisie, and simply enjoying each other's company—that they fell in love.

After dating for a couple of years and spending nearly all of their free time together, moving in together felt like the natural next step. They seamlessly settled into life as a family of three—Lauren, Dennis, and of course, Maisie.

In October 2023, during a beautiful fall trip to Martha’s Vineyard, Dennis had something special planned. Despite the perfect weather all day, the evening rain settled in the late afternoon. Undeterred by the weather, Dennis seized the moment that evening. In a quiet spot before dinner, he proposed to Lauren. And, of course, Lauren said "yes"!

Since their engagement, life has been a whirlwind. Lauren graduated with her PhD, they both started new jobs, they moved to Connecticut, continued to travel, and, of course, began planning their wedding.

Now, as they begin the next chapter of their lives together, Lauren and Dennis cannot wait to celebrate with their friends and family in one of their favorite places. They thank you all for your love and support and look forward to creating many more beautiful memories together!
