Casa Bonita is a Mexican-themed restaurant and immersive experience that has been around for 50 years. It closed during Covid and was reopened in 2023 after being restored by the creators of “South Park”. People don’t go for the food, although it has apparently got better since reopening! The cliff divers, puppet show with a talking taco, Black Bart’s cave and the sopapillas are an experience you don’t want to miss while in town! Casa Bonita is reservation only and they tend to get booked out months ahead but they often have cancellations.
The Coors Brewery is the largest single site brewery in the world and located right in Downtown Golden. Take the tour, enjoy some samples and learn all about how the beer of the Rockies is made! Reservations open up 25 days in advance and are required.
If you like DEADMAU5 then you’re in luck because they’ll be at Red Rocks 11/7 and 8. If not, a visit to the iconic Red Rocks is still worth it! It’s open to the public every day and you can check out the view of Downtown Denver from the top of the amphitheater, the information-filled visitors center or one of the many hiking trails around the amphitheater.
A former gold-rush-era town; Golden is full of museums, breweries, restaurants, shops and hiking/biking/walking trails that can keep you busy all weekend long!
