In 2021, Lekha moved to Gainesville, Florida for her first year of family medicine residency and met Keith who was a second year resident. The two occasionally worked together in the clinic (Team C!) and Keith was Lekha's senior on their inpatient medicine rotation. One weekend he showed her where the best hospital sandwiches are located when the main cafeteria was closed. But little did they know over the next year that relationship would continue to grow into something so much greater than their friendship.

Keith asked Lekha to be his girlfriend one night while they were hanging out after a long shift at the hospital. Of course Lekha replied yes give or take 10 days of processing his unexpected question. They shared trips to Disney and Universal, watching the Super Bowl, spending the day on the lake, relaxing on the beach, binging tv series, covering hospital call during hurricanes, endless pedicures and massages and eating lots of desserts.

And what followed was another year of treasured moments leading up to Keith's follow up question on 12/30/2023 where he had our dog, Shilo, assist him in asking Lekha to marry him while he was down on one knee by the river bank in the middle of winter at Sidecut Metropark in Ohio.

The couple celebrated a Christain wedding ceremony in Daytona Beach, Florida on 11/16/2024 and now they are planning to lock in their lives as newly weds with a Hindu Ceremony in Perrysburg, OH on 4/13/2025.
