Our Story

"God has made everything beautiful in its time." Ecclesiastes 3:11

Everyone that knows Nick and Lindsay are aware that they live their lives with an assurance that God has a plan for all people and events. They believe the promise that God can make all things work for good. Lindsay and Nick trusted God would provide them with perfect person to marry at the right time--God's time. They lived their lives with freedom resting in God's will. When they first met they had immediate peace knowing their life partner had arrived. God has and will continue to make all things beautiful in its time. God is good!

How did Nick and Lindsay meet?

The couple met on July 9, 2023 through a small group bible study at Calvary Church in Winston-Salem, NC. They were both invited to attend the group through a mutual friend. The couple became friends and shared many common interests. Lindsay and Nick had their first date on August 12, 2023 to meet for breakfast, but ended up spending 10 hours together. They officially became girlfriend/boyfriend on August 29, 2023.

The couple is passionate about serving their community and attempting to make small differences in the lives of those around them. Nick and Lindsay actively serve with organizations to alleviate poverty in their local community. The couple is also deeply engaged in serving their Calvary Church community through teaching the 4-year-old Sunday School class weekly. Additionally, Lindsay and Nick financially support a child, Mshindi, living in Kenya. They correspond to him through letters and hope to visit him and his family in Kenya in the near future. The couple enjoy playing pickleball and cornhole, cheering for the Virginia Tech Hokies in football, exploring new ice cream and frozen custard places, fishing, and spending time with their horse, Toulouse.

Nick planned a surprise engagement for Lindsay at the Never Ending Flower Farm in Weaverville, North Carolina on August 3, 2024. An even more meaningful surprise was Nick planned for Lindsay's family to come and celebrate their engagement. After engagement and family photos at the Inn at Amaris Farms, the innkeeper shared Amaris means gift promised by God. Significant to both, Nick and Lindsay, who believed in waiting patiently for their promise of each other. Truly, God has made everything beautiful in its time.
