Happy Halloween!! For those arriving early, we'll host a casual evening gathering with pumpkin carving, chili, cider, and an outdoor screening of a scary (but not too scary) movie.

THINGS TO NOTE:

Because of the busy weekend ahead of us, we are calling a firm end time of 10pm. You can blame it on the geriatric bride and her crippling need for beauty sleep.

All spare beds at our cabin have been claimed for Thursday night. Our cabin is roughly 25 minutes from the venue, so keep that in mind when planning your stay. Justin and I will be staying at our cabin Thursday night and checking into our onsite cabin (at the wedding venue) on Friday.

Happy first day of Dia de los Muertos! Friday marks the official kick-off of wedding festivities. At 4:30 we will meet and divide up to caravan to Bell Mountain Overlook. It's a wild ride to the top, so we'll ask for brave volunteers to drive the weaker of us. After taking in the sights, we'll head back to the venue for a casual Welcome Reception. Wood-fired pizza will be provided by Nocturnal (our favorite restaurant in Hayesville!) followed by a super secret, super awesome dessert. Self-serve beer & wine will be available.

**Meet in Event Parking at Retreat at Hiawassee River. For those staying onsite, you can park at your cabin and walk. For those staying offsite, follow the signs for Event Parking (to the left after you pull in).

The Welcome Reception will be held in the Pavilion on the venue grounds.

DRESS CODE:

Dressy casual (dress pants/jeans & sweater, casual dress/romper, button downs, etc). Note that if you are joining us for Bell Mountain Overlook, there are a lot of stairs to climb.

Happy wedding day to us! A group hike will be led by the groom in the morning then it's a free-for-all until the 5:00 ceremony. Be there or be a nerd! Following the short ceremony, you'll head over to cocktail hour which will then be followed by dinner and dancing. Yeehaw!
