New Orleans doesn’t do Halloween halfway—and the weekend kicking off our wedding festivities happens to be one of the city’s biggest celebrations of the year: Krewe of BOO!
From the iconic Krewe of BOO! Parade (think Mardi Gras, but make it haunted) to costume balls, haunted bar crawls, Oktoberfest, and live music in every corner of the city—it’s an unbeatable time to be here.
We’ll definitely be out enjoying it in costume, along with our family, and you’re totally welcome to come into town early and join the fun.
No pressure—just putting it out there in case you’re looking for an unforgettable kickoff to the week.

New Orleans Zombie Run
New Orleansians must escape the zombie apocalypse that is upon us!
Wear your biohazard suit, gas mask, zombie makeup, or other monster costume and join the 8th annual New Orleans Zombie Run for a zombie-infested 2-mile race through the Warehouse District.
Escape the clutches of the Big Easy Roller Derby, who are the Zombie Killers! The outbreak is contained in downtown New Orleans, where a quarantine zone has been mapped out for zombies, humans, and monsters alike.

PARADE ROUTE
• Assemble at Elysian Fields Avenue
• Elysian Fields Ave. to North Peters St.
• North Peters St. to Decatur St.
• Decatur St. past Jackson Square to North Peters St.
• North Peters St. to Canal St.
• Up Canal to Burgundy, then U-turn
• Down Canal St. to Tchoupitoulas St.
• Tchoupitoulas St. to Andrew Higgins Dr.
Monster Mash Post-Parade Costume Party
Following the Krewe of BOO! parade, krewe members and parade-goers join in the after-parade costume party “Monster Mash” featuring costume contests, drink specials, and live entertainment.
Monster Mash offers both general admission (included in membership) and V.I.P. tickets which allows access to the private seated area with open bar.
Doors open at 8pm with cash bar, DJ, live music, and costume contests throughout the night. The Monster Mash is a Bloody Good Time!
