Satulah Mountain Brewing Company
Situated in the heart of Highlands, North Carolina, Satulah Mountain Brewing Co. produces premium craft beer inspired by the wild places that surround us.
Offers light fare with hand-crafted cocktails, wine, and craft beer at the elegant yet informal interior of Hummingbird Lounge and Library with its drawing room feel. Live entertainment every Friday and Saturday night often features jazz musician Tyler Kittle from 5:30 to 7:30 pm Fridays, singer-songwriter Lisa Rankin from 5:30 to 7:30 pm Saturdays, and long-time guitar favorite Cy Timmons from 8 to 10 pm both Fridays and Saturdays.
The restaurant’s cozy bar room does double duty, pouring both coffee and cocktails, and while the full menu is available inside the bar, the best seats are fireside in the intimate dining room and lounge or out on the Main Street-facing patio if the weather’s warm.
Open Friday - Sunday to the public (weather permitting), the Rooftop Terrace offers one of the best views at Old Edwards Inn and Spa. There are many beautiful trails in the area. Some have expansive views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and some lead to waterfalls.
Whiteside Mountain - 1.9 mile loop trail, moderate hike with several scenic overlooks, beautiful wild flowers, and massive rhododendrons all along the path. Whiteside Mountain is a Highlands landmark.
