September 25, 2015 was the night Maddie and Tyler first met. At a Grassfield High School football game, Maddie was photographing the game for the yearbook and Tyler was leading the color guard for the AFJROTC program. In a lapse of the action, Maddie and Tyler crossed paths at the game and were introduced to each other thanks to a mutual friend. A year later, on September 09, 2016 Maddie and Tyler started dating (officially- everyone around them says they were dating long before either acknowledged it themselves). Then in June 2018, after working and going through their first few years of college as a couple, Maddie and Tyler went on a 10 day tour of Italy. On June 26, 2018 Tyler asked Maddie to marry him in Venice while they were touring the canals on a gondola. They spent the rest of their trip exploring Florence, Assisi, Rome, and the Tuscany region as a newly engaged couple. Since Maddie and Tyler were both in college still, they planned their wedding out for July 2021. Although they tried to plan ahead, the couples' wedding plans were foiled by COVID19 gathering restrictions. So they postponed yet another year, for July 2022. However, Maddie's clumsy nature would get the best of her, and she tripped causing stage 3 ligament tears in her ankle leading to her wearing an orthopedic boot for four months. This blunder caused Maddie and Tyler to postpone tying the knot yet again. Now, after a total of SIX YEARS talking about joining their lives together and planning for the future, Maddie and Tyler are DONE WAITING.
