It all started when Sean and Madi met in Duluth, MN during their undergrad.

Madi immediately fled the country for four months to study abroad in Peru, but luckily the two kept in touch.

When she returned there were many fun memories and trips in Duluth.

And to this day Duluth remains a favorite place of theirs.

In 2018 Madi made a huge move across the country to attend optometry school at UC Berkeley.

And for a year and half they were long distance while Sean was working and living back in Minneapolis.

Then one day when Madi was 24 miles into a 50K trail race in Berkeley, she stumbled upon Sean at a water stop. One month later he was moved out to California.

The two of them love to take advantage of everything California has to offer, whether it's hiking--

--running goofy race--

--trying local wineries--

--or mountain biking.

There's never a shortage of adventure.

Then when skiing with friends in Tahoe this winter, Sean popped the question! And Madi clearly was very happy to say yes :)

Without a doubt, they're ready to take the leap!

Despite one of them being slightly less photogenic...
