Although we went to middle and high school 10 minutes apart from each other and had some of the same friends, we didn't meet until after college. We met through mutual friends while both living in Atlanta in December of 2020.

Madi had plans to go to St. Simons Island for New Year’s Eve with some friends. Bobby and a few of his friends decided to join in on the fun and made plans to also spend New Years in St. Simons. After hanging out for the whole weekend, sparks were flying and the deal was sealed with the first kiss when the clock struck Midnight on New Year's Eve.

The rest is history!

Bobby proposed at Lake Oconee on August 5, 2023. After a very nice dinner, he popped the question - A special moment for just us two! An old friend + photographer was hiding and snapping photos the whole time - head over to the 'Photos' tab to take a look at the amazing photos that we will always cherish from Connor Richter!

Immediately following the proposal and impromptu photoshoot, we headed to meet our families at the Reynolds Landing pavilion. When we walked over the hill to reach the pavilion, Madi was surprised with much more than just our families. Our closest friends + family from near and far were gathered for a surprise engagement party! Bobby had every detail so sweetly planned and our family + friends pulled the surprise off so perfectly. It was such a special day that we will never forget.

Madi’s family has had a beach house on St. Helena Island (known as Harbor Island) since 1994. Since we began dating, Harbor Island and Beaufort have become a special place for us both, with many special memories with friends and family made over the years. It only felt right to have our Big Day in a place so dear to us and our family. We hope you will love it as much as we do and we can’t wait to celebrate with you!
