While infrequent, Whitefish Mountain Resort does have bears and mountain lions from time to time. Avoid hiking alone and be aware of your surrounds at all times. Make lots of noise, and do not allow children to wander around the resort alone.
Bear spray can be rented from whitefish outfitters.
If you are going into Glacier separate from the us trip it is a MUST to carry bear spray. Our guides for the bus trip will have their own bear spray.
