SHOP TIL YOU DROP
If you're up for exploring boutiques, tasty treats, and eclectic shops - from cupcakes and outdoor gear, an early twentieth century movie theatre, cafes and record shops, to toys and restaurants - Carytown RVA is one mile of shops to check out.
Hopefully you don't forget anything but if you did, there's plenty of places to pick up what you need. In the Richmond area are two outdoor walking malls - Stony Point Fashion Park and Short Pump Town Center.
RVA AND THE GREAT OUTDOORS
There is great access to a variety of free and paid outdoor activities in the Richmond-area. Whether you're interested in biking, hiking, climbing, fishing, or swimming, floating, kayaking, and rafting flat water or RVA's famous rapids - there's something for everyone at any level of experience.
RVA IS FULL OF HISTORY
We're both historians, so of course we're going to recommend visiting historical museums and sites! Some are paid and others are free, indoors and outdoors, in the heart of the city or located in the surrounding counties and towns.
