Maggie & Charlie

Pepin, WI
We met in a tale as old as time: online at the beginning of a global pandemic! After beginning the conversation April 1, we had our first video call date on April 10, 2020. It lasted five hours, and were both eager for another only two days later. We finally met in person for a wintery walk around Lake Harriet for our third date the following week, where Charlie surprised Maggie with coffee and a huge bouquet of flowers. Our first few months of dating were restricted to exploring parks in Minneapolis and Mankato, takeout dinners, and a small bubble of friends due to Covid-19, but ultimately it was a blessing in disguise for our budding romance.

Our first getaway was a trip to Rochester for surgery at the Mayo Hospital -- very romantic! Only two months into dating, Maggie finally had surgery for her herniated disc, and Charlie was her knight, and nurse, in shining armor!
