We loved our wedding back in 2020, but like so many others, COVID had other plans. Though it was a beautiful day, it wasn’t quite the celebration we originally dreamed of. Now, five years later, we’re completing our wedding the way we always imagined – in the breathtaking landscapes of Scotland! This trip is about more than just celebrating our anniversary; it’s also a way to inspire others to take their own adventures. We hope this next chapter becomes a launching point for new journeys, memories, and joy. We can't wait to experience some magic together!

Our Wedding

We met in the summer of 2015 at Cooper Park in Bozeman Montana. Dogs brought us together, who would have thought?! Kainoa was an adorable 4 month old puppy, and Millie was a one year old dog that adored puppies. They hit it off right away and played together several times before we even introduced ourselves to each other. Then after several weeks of talking Maile asked Kevin if he wanted to take the dogs on a walk together. His response was “Sure!” As he left, Maile called after, “Do you want my number?” And that was the unofficial first date. A few years later and with a few adventures under our belt we moved into a rough looking barn on Nash Rd. A year after that they went on a mountain bike ride in Haylite Canyon. “A little further” Kevin kept saying. Maile was confused. Then after 6 miles, in the middle of nowhere, with only the dogs and possibly a bear or two around, he got down on one knee. Now they are still more in love then ever and on their new adventure in Townsend, MT.

The Beginning

Wow! What a crazy few years it has been. Kevin and I decided to have a small ceremony at my parents house in August 2020. While we are extremely sad that we could not celebrate with everyone we wanted, we were excited to start our next chapter together. We planned on having a party/vow renewal in the future, and the future is now! We thank you for all of your love and support up to this point.

The best time to buy plane tickets is about 5 months out (the internet says 60 days but that gives me anxiety haha). From Bozeman to Inverness roundtrip it is currently around 800$ per person for a fully refundable main cabin ticket. We will keep an eye on prices and let you know if we see a good deal. Previously we were able to get them for around 600$ roundtrip from Bozeman.

Travel

We definitely recommend spending a few days up here! Beautiful views and amazing hikes. Portree is the main town on the island and it is about a 2 hour drive from Fort William.

Isle of Sky

These mountains are some of the most beautiful there and I would drive through, if not spend some time and hike through them.

Three Sisters Of Glencoe

We have found that the cheapest airport to fly into is the Inverness airport in Northern Scotland. It is also a pretty town with great food. If you fly in here you most likely will have to rent a car and drive down to Fort William, whereas there is a train from Glasgow or Edinburgh and we can pick you up in Fort William.

This is on the way from Inverness to Fort William and a fun touristy stop.

A place to bike, hike, or explore close by.

Ben Nevis Visitor Centre

A must stop to experience the tour and drinks.

Ben Nevis Distillery

A super cool bar down stairs. They also have a restaurant and lodging. This is in Glencoe and close to the Three Sisters.

Waterfall Hikes
