We definitely recommend spending a few days up here! Beautiful views and amazing hikes. Portree is the main town on the island and it is about a 2 hour drive from Fort William.

These mountains are some of the most beautiful there and I would drive through, if not spend some time and hike through them.

We have found that the cheapest airport to fly into is the Inverness airport in Northern Scotland. It is also a pretty town with great food. If you fly in here you most likely will have to rent a car and drive down to Fort William, whereas there is a train from Glasgow or Edinburgh and we can pick you up in Fort William.
