After meeting in an incoming freshman group chat and talking on the phone, MaKayla and Shawn would officially meet on move in day at Valdosta State University. They'd go on to click instantly and even had a handful of classes together!

Shawn asked MaKayla to officially be his girlfriend at their favorite restaurant in college- Waffle House!

Baby Astro joins the family! While MaKayla and Shawn are big Braves fans now, they would like to explain they were unaware of the rivalry between the Braves and Astros and named their puppy after the World Series Champs that year, The Houston Astros!

Shawn and Astro came to celebrate their first holiday with MaKayla and her family at their annual pool party for the 4th of July!

The first international trip! The couple would go to Ocho Rios, Jamaica and Cozumel, Mexico!

The first trip to Europe was to Italy! The happy couple spent time exploring Ancient Rome and Florence, Italy!

The YES date! In The Vatican, at St. Peter's Basilica, Shawn popped the question and MaKayla said Yes!
