HOW TO PREVENT STOMACH UPSET?
Please always carry: Pepto-Bismol chewable tablets, Gas-X, loperamide, Ex-Lax, probiotics, antacid chewables. Consider carrying any packaged foods (protein bars, snacks) if your stomach needs familiar food. Eating mostly vegetarian & plain foods could be an extra precaution. Drink only bottled water (will be provided in hotel rooms). It is always best to take any medicines as a precaution, as an upset stomach can ruin your trip.

Bring any pain reliever, allergy medicines, Dramamine, etc.
Indian weddings can be tiring. It is important to sleep well, eat and drink enough, caffeinate or medicate as needed, in order to enjoy the entirety of the wedding.
IS INDIA A SAFE COUNTRY FOR AMERICANS/WOMEN?
Yes. Generally, Indian people have a positive or curious attitude towards any foreigners visiting. Strangers may stare at you, please note it is not considered rude in this culture. School children and families may try to take pictures with you, this is okay, they are excited to see new people! As for pickpockets/begging, children are typically the ones who would try to steal from your bag or get you to give them money. They are not violent and usually are from a larger group where they are fed. Just keep your bag locked. As for women, act as though you are in NYC if you are out & about. AKA dress for the culture, semi-modestly, avoid eye contact with vendors, and do not do the "friendly American smile" at strangers.
DO INDIAN WEDDINGS START ON TIME?
No. Do not expect the functions to begin on time, especially not early!
